The students of Grade IX D made a powerful statement with the stand they took against Drug & Substance Abuse in the special assembly held this morning to mark the International Day against Drug Abuse! With an entertaining yet immensely relevant skit, the students made the message of ‘Saying No to Drugs’ one that had a deep impact…

With an original script and some power-packed performances from the students, the story of an adolescent experimenting recreationally with drugs became a compelling warning against the dangers of addiction and its lasting effects. The skit showed how peer pressure and an inability to say no firmly could lead to drastic consequences for one’s health, career and happiness.

Our school psychologists, Ms Sangeetha and Ms Aarfa spoke at length about the nature of addiction, and how habits can become dependancy. The assembly was both informative and englightening.
